To get a lot of traffic to your blog for is a hard task to do, but here are some great tips to get you going.
FACEBOOK
To start with facebook is a great way to get a lot of traffic to your site,they offer a great add server that targets specific users on what they are into.This is good because we already know they are into that particular subject.It also does PPI (pay per impression) This is useful because you can spend loads of money on pay per click, but this way you can only pay a little to have your add shown 1000 times.
For instance you can pay £0.21p per 1000 impressions.So you
do wan't your add to stand out and be a good add(more on this later). Because people that are into what your site is about will see it and click the link to your site.
Also tell your friends on facebook because word of mouth can go a long way,remember they will more than likely have friends you don't and they will send it to them and so on.....

LOCAL ADVERTISING
This is a great way to get your site up and running,Ads in your local advertiser can go a long way if you do them correctly.I personally started this way and got some very good results,start with you local advertiser,most of them allow ads at the back for as little as £6.00.Remember your local advertiser has on average 75,000 readers so like I said.Get the add right with a powerful add unit and you can get some great traffic to your site.
GOOGLE ADWORDS
Google adwords is another great way to advertise your site,these will be displayed in search results on google and on other peoples websites/blogs.They also target specific users but not as good as facebook.It has been a while since I have had to use adwords but I believe they still operate the same,your add will be on a pay per click basis (PPC).They will charge you every time someone actually clicks on your add and is directed to your site. This can be cheap if you want it to but it depends on the subject of your site,if it is a popular subject you will have to pay a lot to get your add shown on the results page on google....you see people compete to be at the top,and of course some companies can pay a lot more than you at this stage.Though all you want at the minute is to just get started,you can set a daily budget of whatever you like.
YOU TUBE
Now I love YOU TUBE not only is it a great site but you can also earn on your videos and you can get huge amounts of traffic.This is great, I won't say to much on this because it is on our tabs at the top,You really wan't to do this,remember traffic is the key to making money online and this is a great free way to do it....
Other ways
Join online communities: No matter what the topic, there are thousands of people discussing it passionately on the Internet. By contributing to these discussion groups, you can inform your customers and advertise your business..
Free classified ads: Use services like Yahoo! Classifieds (http://classieds.yahoo.com) to post free ads for your products and services. Also consider posting offers for free samples of your products, sweepstakes, and other give aways.
Ezine: Write an e-mail newsletter, called an ezine, with articles about your industry, your products and services, and related news of interest to your customers. Check out sources such as goarticles.com and ezinearticles.com, which provide free articles you can use in your ezine. Advertise your ezine for free with directory sites such as www.ezine-dir.com.
